Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting for Fenton & Torksey Lock Parish, held 7.00pm, on Tuesday May 26th 2026 at The White Swan, Torksey Lock

1. CHAIRMAN’S WELCOME – Cllr. Davies welcomed all to the meeting. Apologies were given by Cllr. Smith
2. MINUTES OF THE LAST ANNUAL PARISH MEETING - It was RESOLVED to accept the minutes from the Annual Parish Meeting held on May 27th 2025 as a true and accurate record.
3. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT:
Cllr. Lee Davies delivered a report on the activities of the Council over the year to date. He also talked about future initiatives the Council were working towards. (see website for full report - fenton-torksey.parish.lincolnshire.gov.uk).
4. FINANCIAL REPORT:
The Responsible Financial officer delivered a report on the finances for 2025/26, the Annual Governance and Accountability Return, Internal Audit, and the budget moving forward. (see website for full report - fenton-torksey.parish.lincolnshire.gov.uk).
5. REPORTS FROM OTHER AGENCIES:
Our District Councillor, Cllr Roger Pilgrim gave a brief update on the devolution proposals. He informed the meeting that representatives from WLDC had met with Government Minsters and during that meeting they had insisted that monies held by WLDC be spent in WLDC and not be allocated elsewhere.
6. PUBLIC FORUM – No questions from the public were addressed to the meeting.
